MBET students at top of business pitch competition
Salima Galini and Timothy Li were among the best young entrepreneurs in the 2008 IGNITION $1K Pitch Competition held last week at the university. Designed to emulate real-life business pitch conditions the competition is considered a warm-up to the Nichol Launchpad $50K Venture Creation Competition, taking place next May. Launchpad, a partnership between the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University, provides a platform for students to join together in teams and commercialize ideas.
