Douglas to become director of UAE campus
Peter Douglas of chemical engineering will head up Waterloo’s UAE campus for a year, starting September 1. Douglas, currently engineering’s associate dean, graduate studies and international agreements, and associate dean, computing, succeeds Magdy Salama of electrical and computer engineering, as UAE director. While Douglas is in the UAE Rick Culham, associate dean, research and external partnerships, will take on his responsibilities as associate dean, graduate studies and international agreements, and Beth Jewkes, chair of management sciences, will assume the portfolio of associate dean, engineering computing.
