Classes begin at Dubai campus
School is in for the first 22 students at the University of Waterloo’s new campus in Dubai. Orientation took place in late August and on September 1 classes started in the UAE campus’s two initial programs, chemical and civil engineering. “Students and our faculty connected very quickly, and the atmosphere became as informal as it is in Waterloo,” says Leo Rothenburg, the university’s associate vice-president (international).
